When I moved to the Oregon Coast, everything slowed WAY down. Life got simpler, happier, and more fulfilling. I still work more than someone with a 9-5, but I also go out for boat rides at 2pm on a Tuesday if the weather is nice. We've reclaimed time for what truly matters—nature, relaxation, and togetherness. The stunning scenery makes every trade-off worthwhile, reminding us daily why we took this leap.

Spring on the lake has been abundant this year. A bear swam straight toward the cabin, a deer has been sleeping in the swamp cabbage each night (and letting us watch her), an otter flopped joyfully on the neighbor's dock, and the bald eagles are back — possibly with babies on the way.
